Working Together: BVIDA and Red Loud for Better Health

The BVI Diabetes Association is proud to serve as a screening partner for the Red Loud Campaign, a community health initiative focused on raising awareness about diabetes, hypertension, and kidney disease in the Virgin Islands.

As part of the partnership, the Association provides free blood glucose and blood pressure screenings at Red Loud events, helping residents learn their numbers and take steps to protect their health. Screenings play a vital role in early detection, giving people the chance to make lifestyle changes or seek medical guidance before complications arise.

The Red Loud Campaign brings health education into the community through outreach, interactive activities, and creative events that make wellness approachable and engaging. From fitness challenges to school visits and workplace initiatives, the campaign is designed to reach people where they are and inspire healthier choices.

For the Diabetes Association, this collaboration is a natural fit. The organization has long been dedicated to education, prevention, and providing resources for people living with or at risk of diabetes. By joining forces with Red Loud, it extends its impact, reaching more people across the Territory with services that can improve their quality of life.

Residents are encouraged to take advantage of upcoming Red Loud events and participate in the free screenings offered by the Association. Knowing your numbers is a powerful step toward staying healthy and preventing chronic illness.
